Postdoctoral researchers

(1) If you are interested in research on the complex interactions between western US wildfire, vegetation, climate, and society, please check this page regularly as I expect to hear soon about a grant proposal currently under review at NSF which, if funded, would support two postdoctoral researchers at UCLA.

(2) It is likely that I will soon be searching for a postdoc to work on a collaborative project to extend our western US forest-fire model (WULFFSS) into the boreal forests of Canada and Alaska in order to better understand the future of high-latitude wildfire and terrestrial carbon. Competitive applicants will have demonstrated strong skills in statistical programming, data analysis, and scientific writing as well as a passion for creativity, collaboration, and learning about the earth system.

(3) Additionally, I am open to discussions about serving as mentor for postdoctoral researchers applying for fellowships.
